The Sunda of West Java

The Sundanese are the largest unreached people group of Indonesia.  They also happen to be the 10th largest unreached people group in the world!  They are a population of 37,152,000.

Today almost all Sunda people are Muslim.  Yet, in history they were first animists and then between the 4th-7th centuries they became Hindu.  Between the 15th-16th centuries the Sunda became Muslim and have been so ever since.

The Sundanese live on the island of Java on the Western side.

For the month of March, our community in Los Angeles will be praying for them.  We will be posting prayer points soon, please join us!
